Public Statement of Appreciation

It is impossible to appropriately thank all of the thousands of people who played a part in helping to overturn this ill-conceived annexation ordinance.

Now that the dust has settled a bit after the election, the Refuge Property owners wanted to express their appreciation to all of you.

Take a look at this public statement of gratitude that will appeared in Sunday's News-Herald:

THANK YOU
FROM REFUGE PROPERTY OWNERS TO:

Lake Havasu City Voters
Desert Hills Residents
Desert Hills Fire Department
And Our Special Team of Volunteers

For protecting Lake Havasu City
by supporting a NO VOTE on the Refuge Annexation

SPECIAL THANKS TO:

DENNIS SCHILLING
CHAIRMAN, POLITICAL COMMITTEE

For leading the way
and having the courage to stand firm

Here's the version with the picture as it appeared in the newspaper on 6/5/11:

Voter Response Rate

Apparently, the County elections office had a "significant" number of ballots "returned to sender" due to outdated addresses.

That means that the actual response rate of those who DID receive ballots was technically well over the stated 41%.

Cool.

Especially for a single-item mail-in ballot.  Nice work!
